I was hiding out over the holidays. I told myself I was going to avoid all e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, and even my phone during vacation with my kids. Though I had withdrawal symptoms every day and moments of boredom where I wanted to get on my tablet, I resisted.
Today, after my first day back, I realized there were a few things I missed. One thing I missed (and you may have too) was the launch of our first ALL-DIGITAL issue of Radio Ink. Though we've done digital issues since before the iPad was invented, this was our first digital edition that had no printed issue alongside it.
A funny thing happens when you don't have the restrictions of paper and postage. Editor-in-Chief Ed Ryan was able to pack the issue with more content than he could possibly fit into a typical print issue.
If you haven't seen it, read it HERE. No charge.

We have to charge a lot of money for print editions due to the cost of paper and postage (which just went up another 6 percent on January 1). But everybody can afford our digital edition. No, the print isn't going away. This is merely a way to help out readers who can't pony up for a print subscription. When the announcement went out last week, we were flooded with new digital subscriptions.
But since I was gone and didn't see it, I figured some of you may have missed it too. This all-digital edition includes audio and video segments you could never see in print. I feel like a proud papa. My team did an excellent job on this new all-digital issue. Enjoy.
