I love art.... all kinds of art. My wife and I have an eclectic collection of art. She likes things a little  more modern and edgy and I like a little of the edgy but I especially love representational art.

I also love art magazines and I get many of them. As a reader I was not seeing any of them produce what I wanted to read about and I learned that many others felt the same way. Since I made my living as a publisher I decided to research my idea. After two years of research I launched a very high quality art magazine about fine art.

I wanted fresh articles, not the same painters and subjects over and again. I wanted ideas and articles on collecting. I wanted to see collections that are never shown to the public and I wanted articles which were sophisticated, yet not so scholarly that they were dry. I wanted lots of high quality images of artworks and I wanted a format that did not require me months of reading to get through it. So that is what I created. The magazine is called FINE ART CONNOISSEUR and I'm proud to say that we've developed an amazing list of subscribers; including some celebrities, movies stars, broadway producers, business people and over 300 billionaires! But we have loads of art collectors and art lovers too.

I knew I was not qualified to edit such a magazine so I searched and found Peter Trippi a former director of the Dahesh Museum on Madison Avenue in New York, and a lifetime museum curator, art historian, and author. He has done an amazing job.

In response to the questions about your son: Of course you can only open doors for him and expose him to things, which might spark his interest. He simply has not found something, which he is so passionate about that he is willing to keep that job. Youre wise to see his interest in art. Ive heard many stories from many artists who had raw undeveloped talent but would have not done anything with it had it not been for finding a mentor. In my case I landed in an art class from someone who took me under his wing and taught me. I only ended up there because my wife bought me an art lesson.

Here is what you might want to try. Go to the newsstand and pick up a half dozen art magazines. Get some that are realism based like Fine Art Connoisseur and some that are abstract based like Modern Painters, also pick up some things which have tatoo art, etc. As he looks through them see where he lights up and spends his time. If his interest is in realism than find a class or instructor locally, buy him a class and see if he embraces it and becomes passionate. There are not many really great instructors in the world (in my opinion) therefore finding a great one might be tough, but the right one will set his heart on fire and pull out his confidence. His eyes will open and he may find his muse. You cant force your wishes on him, only help him find what he loves and expose him to that opportunity.

I have a son that has this talent.He has done tatoos, drawings on paper with great detail and has never took any kind of schooling for this. It's like it just comes natural to him. I wanted him to see what all he could do with this talent that he has been blessed with. I am hoping and praying that he don't let it lay dormant, because he is so good and can draw anything. He is presently not around at this time, but I was hoping that I could get a variety of magazines or a book with pictures and etc. that he could see to inspire him that much more,or someone that would help him, direct him, or God would lay it on there heart to reach out to him. He will be 33 yrs. old this October and he's never kept a job for any length of time, but he his always drawing, tatoos and I'm not sure what all he has done. I know he needs God and I also know God uses people to reach out to others. He has such a big loving. caring, heart that very few people has seen.
